Advantages of multi-point arrangement of temperature sensors for thermal laminator

Update:05 Sep 2024

During the operation of thermal laminator, the hot plate plane is a key component that directly contacts and heats the workpiece, and the uniformity of its temperature distribution directly affects the quality of the product. Due to the existence of various heat exchange methods such as heat conduction, convection and radiation, the temperature on the hot plate plane often has local differences. In order to accurately monitor and control these differences and achieve high-precision temperature control, it is necessary to use multi-point arrangement of temperature sensors.
Principles of multi-point arrangement
Comprehensiveness: The arrangement points should cover the entire hot plate plane as much as possible, including the central area, the edge area, and possible hot or cold spots. Ensure that temperature changes at any position can be captured in time.
Representativeness: On the basis of comprehensiveness, representative points are selected for arrangement. These points should be able to reflect the main characteristics and trends of the temperature distribution on the hot plate plane, reduce redundant monitoring points, and improve monitoring efficiency.
Maintainability: The arrangement points should be easy to install, disassemble and maintain. Considering the working environment of the hot press, the sensor should be easily accessible and not susceptible to mechanical damage or contamination.
Specific implementation steps
Preliminary analysis: According to the structure, working principle and use requirements of the hot press, the temperature distribution of the hot plate plane is preliminarily analyzed. Through simulation calculation or experimental test, the possible temperature gradient area and key control points are determined.
Determine the layout point: Based on the preliminary analysis results, combined with the actual size and shape of the hot plate plane, determine the specific layout point of the temperature sensor.
Sensor selection: Select a suitable temperature sensor according to the measurement requirements and working environment conditions. For a hot press with high-precision control, a high-precision and high-stability temperature sensor should be selected.
Installation and fixation: Install the temperature sensor on the hot plate plane according to the determined layout point. During the installation process, attention should be paid to the fixing method of the sensor to ensure that it will not move or fall off during operation.
Calibration and debugging: After the installation is completed, calibrate and debug the temperature sensor. Verify the accuracy and stability of the sensor by comparing it with the standard temperature source.
